ZenBreath Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy — ZenBreath
Welcome to ZenBreath — a mindfulness and guided breathing app developed by Zenith Code Studio (“we”, “our”, or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your information when you use the ZenBreath mobile application (the “App”).

1. Information We Collect
ZenBreath follows a minimal data collection approach. We collect only the data necessary to provide features such as guided breathing sessions, reminders, and aggregated popularity statistics.
a) Information You Provide
- Preferences and Settings: optional settings such as preferred breathing duration, chosen exercises, theme, and reminder times. These may be stored locally and/or in Firebase (if you enable sync).
- Support or Feedback: if you contact us (email or in-app), we may collect your name, email address, and message content to respond to your request.
b) Automatically Collected Information
- Anonymous Usage Data: non-identifiable analytics such as which exercises are used, session counts, session durations, and popularity (e.g., “X people practiced today”). This helps improve the App and display aggregated statistics.
- Device Information: limited information such as device model, OS version, and App version for diagnostics and performance monitoring.
c) Firebase Services
ZenBreath uses Firebase services such as Cloud Firestore and (optionally) Firebase Authentication and Firebase Cloud Messaging. When you use features that sync or store data in the cloud, minimal and anonymous usage data may be stored in Firebase. Please review Google/Firebase documentation for details on their data handling.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and personalize breathing exercises, reminders, and session guidance.
- Store and display non-identifying streaks, session counts, and popularity statistics.
- Send user-approved reminders and notifications.
- Improve and debug the App (performance and reliability).
- Respond to support inquiries.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
3. Data Storage & Security
Local data (preferences, reminders, local history) is stored on your device. Cloud data (anonymous session records and aggregated counts) is stored in Firebase and protected in transit and at rest according to Firebase security practices.
We implement commercially reasonable technical and administrative safeguards to help protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure — please keep that in mind when using the App.
4. Permissions
ZenBreath requests only the permissions necessary for core functionality:
- Notifications: to deliver reminders for breathing sessions.
- Audio & Microphone (optional): for voice guidance or soundscape playback (microphone access is not required for core breathing features unless you explicitly enable a feature that needs it).
- Vibration: to provide haptic cues during breathing cycles.
- Internet Access: to sync anonymous stats and use Firebase.
You can manage permissions in your device settings at any time.
5. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party service providers to support the App, including but not limited to:
- Firebase (Google LLC): Cloud Firestore, Authentication, and Cloud Messaging.
- Google Fit / Health Connect (optional): if you enable sync with your health platform, session records may be written to your device’s health store.
- Share SDKs: for social sharing of session summaries when you choose to share.
These providers have their own privacy policies — please review them to understand how they use data.
6. Children’s Privacy
ZenBreath is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to us, please contact us and we will promptly delete such data.
7. Data Retention
Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Anonymous aggregated data stored in our backend (Firebase) may be retained for analytics and trend analysis. If you request deletion of data you provided via support, we will work to remove identifiable records where possible.
8. Your Rights & Choices
You have the right to:
- View and modify any settings or preferences stored locally in the App.
- Disable analytics and notifications through the App settings or the device settings.
- Request deletion of identifiable information you shared by contacting us at zenithcodestudio@gmail.com.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post a prominent notice in the App and update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
